MESSAGE FROM CETACEA DEFENCE

This web-site will no longer be in the public domain. That means no new news items will be posted here.
Cetacea Defence future policy is to work with committed members only. ‘Friends of Cetacea Defence’. (SEE BELOW ACHIEVEMENTS)
The reason is apparent, at the moment CD can’t seem to find people who are really interested in helping whales-dolphins survive and will not operate a web-pages for voyeurs or people who have nothing else to do than pass a few minutes.
For this the  last message to appear, rather than write a public obituary  , I felt it more appropriate to write a  public celebration of Cetacea Defence’s achievements.
1990-1
 Rocky
Although not a Cetacea Defence campaign, my being part of the campaign to Free Rocky from Morecambe Marineland and the  spokesperson for the Flamingo Land  campaign ( which was instrumental in closing down Britain's last dolphinarium after a 2 year campaign ) led to the formation of Cetacea Defence.

IMPONERABLES IN LIFE

Cetacea Defence’s new year’s resolution.
Has come to the conclusion unless it can find a  minimum of dozen people in different areas of The World  to participate in  the boycott Japan campaign in February. él es muerto, il est mort
Lances in whale caught by Japanese PA
The information  in regard to the boycott Japan campaign has been regurgitated around the WWW for around 10days;
The WORLD WIDE WEB; On 29th DECEMBER  there were 248 people on  www.cetaceadefence.org, one wonders why were they there?  No offer , no interest , no sign of life, NO activists to become involved . There are enough' adopt a dolphin 'organisations and petition signers on the www and CETACEA DEFENCE isn't one of them.
CD WILL not operate a site for voyeurs or fools or  for people without committment, other than the ability to type in an address,   its love of whales and dolphins and their protection is too great to allow that insult to whales and dolphins to happen. An obituary  for CETACEA DEFEFENCE is being prepared in anticipation of not being to find 12 people either through THE WORLD WIDE WEB,  contacts or via the web-site;  él es muerto, il est mort

http://www.cetaceadefence.org/images/stories/cetacea/logo-2.gifA week asking people not to buy Japanese goods, EVER!

A week asking campaigners to create actions and  events in their locality be it something as simple as leafletting consumers.

Since the ban on whaling in the mid 1980s Japan has killed thousands of whales for “scientific research”.

Also every year over 20000 dolphins are cruelly killed.

Take the pledge - if it says
'Made In Japan' send a message to the Japanese Government and companies , tell the bloody murderers to go to hell. Pledge to  boycott Japanese goods, eg Honda,Toyota,Mitsubishi,Mazda,Nissan, Canon, Toshiba. A full list can be found at

SHOREHAM PROTESTOR: SUSSEX
we will definitely do one of the days that week at the begining of Feb.  .  We have several people who prefer to do stalls and leafleting rather than demos or hunt monitoring.  Look forward to hearing from you and don't despair at the slow response from people as Christmas is always a time of slackness - am trying to be optimistic but I know how you must feel.
